The Living Skies Indigenous Basketball League (LSIBL) was created for Indigenous youth in Saskatchewan from ages 11-17. In the spirit of reconciliation, we welcome all youth that have a passion for basketball. The LSIBL will help youth to develop and show off their skills on the basketball court but also help youth to increase their self-confidence and guide them with knowledge to improve their mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health.
The Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan alongside One Love Basketball Inc. with support of the Government of Canada and other community stakeholders have developed the Living Skies Indigenous Basketball League. This program will not only involve Basketball, but it will also help to address the social and economic issues of Indigenous youth across the Friendship Centre communities & surrounding areas.
